Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of www.ippriv.com and api.ippriv.com, operated by LMF Solutions (see the Legal Notice). By using the site, the IP lookup tool or the API, you accept them.

2. The service

IPPriv provides free IP lookup, geolocation, reverse DNS and VPN, proxy and Tor detection, through the website and a public API. No account is needed. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time.

3. API use

3.1 Rate limit

The free API allows 100 requests per hour per IP address. Requests above the limit receive an HTTP 429 response. Repeated abuse can lead to a block.

3.2 Prohibited uses

You may not use the site or the API to:

• break the law or help others do so;
• harass, stalk or track individuals;
• send spam or distribute malware;
• attack, overload or bypass the security of the service;
• resell the service or its data without written permission.

4. Accuracy of results

IP data comes from third-party sources and is an estimate. Location is often accurate at country level and much less precise at city level, and VPN or proxy detection can produce false positives or negatives. Do not rely on results alone for decisions that affect people's rights.

5. Intellectual property

The site's content, design and code belong to LMF Solutions or its licensors. API responses may be used in your own projects in line with these terms.

6. Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent allowed by law, LMF Solutions is not liable for indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service.

7. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by French law.
